Raj Singh and his wife Neera Singh have decided to give Rs 9 crore (Rs 90 million) for setting up the business school. Raj graduated in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1975 while his wife Neera graduated in chemical engineering in the year 1981 from the same institute. Both are presently engaged in US in telecom business.
